Leadership Warren County class of 2017 is off to an energetic beginning, with our attorney Adam Mathews as one of its members.
Leadership Warren County (LWC) is in its sixteenth year and the newest class members successfully covered the requirements of the Opening Retreat at Camp Joy in Clarksville on February 3 and 4. The Opening Retreat is designed to introduce participants to the philosophy behind the program. It is designed to enhance leadership skills and allow graduates to assume more effective roles in meeting community needs by becoming informed decision makers. With a cadre of 19 class members, the group was warmly welcomed by Bill Thornton and Arla Tannehill, LWC Program Directors and staff from Camp Joy.
Facilitator for the two-day retreat was Christy Shell, owner and founder of Zeal Coaching for Life and Career. She is a seasoned and insightful executive coach and organizational development professional with 20 years of experience in team effectiveness, facilitation, and career coaching and leadership performance. Her focus is on guiding and motivating clients to extraordinary results and optimal performance.

The retreat consisted of a series of presentations, problem solving and team building activities, and included the provision of customized reports on each member’s leadership style. Participants were all very engaged and expressed a high level of approval with the retreat content; stating they were very satisfied with the interactions and engaging conversations which took place within the retreat setting.
